Licensing & Rights
In one line: UAP Intel does not claim ownership of the source material it references. Each source keeps the rights, copyright, public-domain status, or licence terms of its original publisher or rights holder. UAP Intel's own organisation and analysis of that material are governed by the terms below. Inclusion here grants no ownership and no reuse rights — always check the rights attached to a source before you reuse it.
Source material stays with its rights holders
UAP Intel is a research and reference layer over publicly available material. We do not claim ownership of the underlying source material, and we do not apply any blanket licence (such as a Creative Commons licence) to it.
Original documents, images, audio, video, testimony, government records, and other third-party source material remain subject to the rights, copyright, public-domain status, or licence terms of their original publishers or rights holders. For example:
- Many U.S. Government records (e.g. NARA and Department of War / PURSUE releases, Project Blue Book) are in the public domain as works of the U.S. Government — but this is not universal, and redactions, third-party inserts, or later compilations may carry their own terms.
- Records from other governments, agencies, journals, publications, archives, and individuals remain subject to their own copyright and licence terms.
- Witness and whistleblower testimony, user submissions, and third-party imagery or footage remain the rights of their authors or owners.
What UAP Intel's own work covers
UAP Intel's original contributions — our metadata, database organisation and structure, summaries, classifications, reliability tiers, annotations, provenance records, and analysis — are the intellectual property of UAP Intel and are governed by the terms stated here.
You may use these original contributions for your own personal, non-commercial research and reference, with attribution to UAP Intel. Except as allowed by law, you may not scrape, bulk-export, redistribute, sublicense, resell, or make commercial use of UAP Intel's original metadata, organisation, or analysis without our prior written permission. See our Fair Use Policy and Terms of Service.
Inclusion is not a grant of rights
The presence of a document, image, recording, or other item in this archive does not transfer ownership of it, does not change its rights status, and does not grant you any right to reuse it. UAP Intel referencing or organising a source says nothing about whether you are permitted to copy, publish, or otherwise reuse that source.
Check the rights on each source before you reuse it
Before reusing any source material, you must check the provenance and rights information attached to that specific source — its original publisher, its rights status, and any licence terms — and obtain any permissions required. Where we can, we link to the original so you can confirm its terms at the point of origin. If you believe material has been included in error or in breach of your rights, contact us at contact@uapintel.info and we will review it.
Structured-data (dataset) licence
Where UAP Intel publishes machine-readable dataset metadata (Schema.org Dataset structured data), the license field points to this page. That reference describes the rights framework for UAP Intel's dataset organisation and metadata — it does not re-license the underlying source material, which continues to be governed by its own terms as set out above. Individual source collections that carry a known, specific licence retain that licence.
