Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 July 2026
This is a plain-English summary of our policies, provided for transparency and not as legal advice.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and UAP Intel ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the uapintel.info website, the AI research assistant, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.

2. What the Service is

UAP Intel is an AI-powered research assistant. It retrieves material from a verified, versioned corpus of publicly available UAP (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena) records and answers your questions with cited sources, a stated trust tier, and expressed uncertainty. Each answer records the model version and knowledge version used, so it can be reproduced and reviewed.

The Service is an aid to research — not a source of established fact. It helps you find, organise, and understand publicly available records. It does not certify that any claim is true, and its answers should always be checked against the cited original sources.

3. Your account

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid tiers are offered as auto-renewing subscriptions on a monthly or annual basis. Your subscription renews automatically for successive periods until you cancel. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe.

5. Pricing and taxes

Prices are shown and charged in US dollars (USD). Applicable taxes, including GST or other sales or value-added taxes, may be added at checkout depending on your location. We may change our prices from time to time; any change to a recurring price will take effect from your next renewal after we have given you reasonable notice, and you may cancel before it applies.

6. Acceptable use

The Service is provided for interactive use by an individual human. To keep it fast, affordable, and available for everyone, you agree that you will NOT:

Rate limits and additional guidance are described in our Fair Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. User submissions and licence

The Service lets you submit evidence, files, and related information for review (see our Submit Evidence rules). When you submit material, you grant UAP Intel a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, analyse, display, and use that material to operate and improve the Service.

You warrant that you own or otherwise have the right to submit the material and to grant this licence, and that your submission does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law. You are responsible for what you submit, and we may decline, remove, or moderate submissions at our discretion.

8. Intellectual property

The Service — including the website, the organisation and curation of the corpus, our software, interfaces, and branding — is owned by UAP Intel or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

The underlying source documents, images, and records the assistant draws on remain in their original rights status. Many are in the public domain; others belong to their respective rights holders. We link to or reference originals and do not claim ownership of them.

9. AI disclaimer

Answers from the assistant are generated by artificial intelligence. They may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, and may misattribute or misinterpret sources. You should always verify important information against the cited original records before relying on it.

The Service does not provide professional, legal, scientific, financial, medical, or other expert advice, and nothing it returns should be treated as a statement of established fact or as such advice.

10. Service availability

We provide the Service on a best-effort basis. It may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance windows, updates, third-party outages, or other interruptions. We do not guarantee any particular level of uptime, and features may change, be added, or be removed.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access — with or without notice — if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or create risk or legal exposure for us or other users. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

12. Export and sanctions compliance

You must not use the Service where doing so is prohibited by applicable law, including export control and economic sanctions laws. You confirm that you are not located in, and will not use the Service from, a jurisdiction where access is barred, and that you are not a person or entity subject to relevant sanctions.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UAP Intel and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary loss, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or reliance damages, arising out of or connected with your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition, that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable consumer protection law. Where our goods or services come with non-excludable consumer guarantees, our liability for failing to comply with such a guarantee is limited, at our option and to the extent the law allows, to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State, without limiting any rights you have under the consumer laws of your own country.
